Art House North is a venue for cultivating art and community in the West 7th neighborhood of Saint Paul. Bucket Brigade is a professional theater company that is passionate about creating new work that engages, inspires and uplifts the community.
Summer Theater Camp! (for students going into Grades 5-8)
Who: For students going into Grades 5-8 (with all levels of theater experience)
When: Monday, July 15th–Friday, July19th
What (time?): From 9am-Noon (plus 6pm Friday showcase performance)
Where: Art House North, 793 Armstrong Avenue, Saint Paul MN 55102
How (much?): $175 ($15 off for early registration before June 1st)
Students will be exploring elements of creative expression and theater through on-your-feet-exercises and improv games. They will be encouraged and equipped to freely express themselves, engage their imagination, work in an ensemble, effectively communicate physically and vocally and create a short original theater piece, in their own words, that will be performed for a public showcase Friday evening, July 19th at 6pm at Art House North.
The theme for Summer of 2024: The Funny This is…Life is funny. And boy-oh-boy is it good to laugh. And it’s even better to laugh together. This summer we’re gonna lean into laughter— playing, creating and delighting in the fun, funny, honest and seriously ridiculous. Exploring over-the-top-characters, smart comedic sketches, and celebrating the art of telling a really good funny story. Students will write their thoughts about the topic and perform a short theater piece in their own words as well as perform some fun, comedic sketches related to the topic.

CLASS DETAILS
We will be meeting outside on the Art House lawn (weather permitting). When weather does NOT permit, we will meet in Art House North.
Students will need to bring a water bottle and a snack for break time.

THE SHOWCASE/PERFORMANCE
The showcase will be performed inside Art House North and will last about 20-30 minutes. Friends and family are welcome to join us!

REGISTRATION
Online registration requires full payment at the time of registration UNLESS you'd rather pay by check, in which case, the full amount of registration is due a maximum of 10 days after you register. A $25 non-refundable deposit is included in the registration fee.

Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are available. Please email info@bucketbrigadetheater.com to discuss availability and eligibility.
Cancellation Policy: For registrations cancelled up to 1 week before the start of class a full refund made by check minus the $25 non-refundable deposit.
No refund issued for registrations cancelled less than 1 week before the start of class.
